The photo below was contributed by a friend of the Genealogy Society. It was taken in 1956 and is labeled, "Old Harmony Cemetery." We are hoping someone will recognize the cemetery from the church in the background. Where was Old Harmony Cemetery and what is it called now? Diane HD#68

From Brenda Rees: "Old Harmony Church looks like Steele Church which used to be on Steele Church Road, which I believe is Coy Burgess Road now. Possibly name before it became Alaqua Methodist Church, one of oldest in Walton County 1827. [People] might recognize this as the Alaqua Methodist Church Cemetery. My aunt told me the Steele's donated land, their old graves might even be in the background of this picture. Someone from Alaqua UMC might also recognize."
Thanks, Brenda!

This photo is identical to one we have. It is of several Blocker's with Mae Williams Blocker Garrett. I believe this was taken at Harmony Cemetery outside of Opp, Covington County, Alabama. It is where a lot of their relatives are buried. Nancy Blocker

Thank you, Nancy! Do you know of connections between the people in the photo and Walton County? If so, we would appreciate any other information you care to share about their time here.
Best wishes, Diane
