From a website visitor: I am contacting you hoping to obtain a photograph of Captain William McPherson who was the Commander of the Walton Guard during the Civil War. William McPherson was a 27 year old lawyer who lived in the County Seat – Euchee-Anna, Walton County, Florida when elected by his fellow inductees in Walton County as their Commander on April 1, 1861.
After the Civil War he went to California where he was elected the Los Angeles City Attorney on December 7, 1868 and re-elected on December 6, 1869. His second term ended on December 5, 1870. Diane HD#58
